Charles Ray wrote a biography of Mr. Spurgeon, a biography of Mrs. Spurgeon, and this volume in which he tells the story of C. H. Spurgeon's sermons, their preparation, delivery, publication, outreach and influence. As the author says, "Probably about no other man's sermons, save Spurgeon's, would it be possible to write a whole book with any likelihood of its being read."
