C. H. Spurgeon's

        blessed ministry was grounded in the scripture of First Corinthians 1:23-24, "But we preach CHRIST CRUCIFIED, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." Based on the Biblical declaration of John 3:14, "And As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up," the emblem above was his motto and appeared on the cloth-binding spines of the original New Park Street & Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit  Sermon Series.

Emphasizing the  Theme  of Spurgeon's ministry —

           In early 1996, we featured this emblem by producing a few T-shirts for friends and staff. After a photo of Eric Hayden wearing one was published in the summer '96 issue of THE  PILGRIM, many requests were made to acquire the unique T-shirt. Now, you have the opportunity to participate in promoting this powerful Bible declaration to the many people of your community. The message of this T-shirt (or, the similar "baseball" cap) declares the only hope mankind has to be delivered from our sinful, lost nature. Unlike the average glamorous Christian T-shirt in most book or gift stores, this emblem is a simple, Biblical plea focused toward the wavering eye.

We offer THREE T-Shirt Styles  —

1) emblem color  BLACK  (or blue) on a plain white shirt (like above)

2) emblem color  WHITE  on a navy-blue shirt

3) emblem color  GOLD  on a dark black shirt (matching the gold/black colors of the clothbound 63-volume sermon  SET )

The emblem is of semi-full size across the chest/stomach area, and the T-shirt is 50% cotton/50% polyester from either Hanes or Fruit-of-the-Loom apparel.
