List of ARTICLES to read by C. H. Spurgeon, Bob L. Ross and others (more content coming soon)

Selections by C. H. Spurgeon

  • Paul's Books: Give Thyself Unto Reading - 2 Tim 4:13 - "The man who never reads will never be read; he who never quotes will never be quoted. He who will not use the thoughts of other men's brains, proves that he has no brains of his own. Brethren, what is true of ministers is true of all our people. You need to read. Renounce as much as you will all light literature, but study as much as possible sound theological works, especially the Puritanic writers, and expositions of the Bible."

  • The Death of My Best Friend - A brief autobiographical excerpt of Spurgeon's conversion and subsequent experience. "There was a day, as I took my walks abroad, when I came hard by a spot forever engraven upon my memory, for there I saw this friend, my best, my only friend... MURDERED."

  • A Word to Soul-Winners - I want to say a word to you who are trying to bring souls to Jesus. You long and pray to be useful: do you know what this involves? Are you sure you do? Prepare yourselves, then, to see and suffer many things which you would rather be unacquainted with. Experiences which would be unnecessary to you personally will become your portion if the Lord uses you for the salvation of others.

Selections by Bob L. Ross

  • Dreams Do Come True - "I often have been asked how I became acquainted with Charles Haddon Spurgeon, and how the project of reprinting his complete 63-volume sermon series developed."

  • A Traveller's Trip to "Spurgeon Country" - If you are going to England, here is some information which might be of some use. Bob L Ross had the privilege of spending two weeks in England in 1996, most of which was devoted to visiting sites and areas related to the life and ministry of C. H. Spurgeon. The following information is for the benefit of others who are planning a similar trip.
    — Includes the Introduction to the booklet: A Traveller's Guide to "Spurgeon Country" by Eric W. Hayden
